We wanted to write a Christmas song reminiscent of those from the 1950s, creating a mood that is both timeless and nostalgic.

Socks and Satsumas is full of humour, sincerity and warmth. We hope it is a like a giant hug on a cold winter day, bringing festive cheer and encouraging an appreciation for all things that make Christmas a special time of year.

The turkey ain't to blame even though he's acting shameless

All those Christmas decorations have gone up and it's only just October
Driving me insane and it makes you wonder how we're still sober

The radio it plays we're reminded what we want for Christmas

Rudolph and his pals sick of Santa's ho ho ho's and snoring
They're sitting and they're waiting for the snow to start on falling

Playing reindeer games, they're all the same and they're getting boring

Now Santa's on his way, giving out all those socks and satsumas
I've been a real good girl so pay no attention to those rumours

Take a moment to think of the ones that you miss
The ones who you wish were still on your list
